I think we’d all agree that drinking good wine is an experience that is as memorable as it is sublime. And while most of us enjoy this thoroughly, there might be some things that we are unaware of or are doing wrong, that hamper our experience. Choosing The Correct Glass
Did you know that the shape of the glass changes the way your wine tastes? Well, it does! So try a few different glasses with a few different wines to figure out which one fits your drinking style best. Once you do, you can add those glasses to your home collection and take your wine drinking experience a notch higher.
Holding A Wine Glass
They say you should always hold a wine glass by the stem. But why? Doesn’t holding such a big glass by the bowl seem logical? Here’s why it’s not- your hands will heat up the wine if you hold the glass by the bowl, and once the wine starts heating up, it won’t taste as good as it should. So, now you know what to do the next time you drink wine.
The Perfect Temperature
All wines have a particular temperature at which they taste best. Like, White Wine should be ‘fridge cold’, while Rich Red Wine should only be ‘slightly cool’. So make sure you bring the wine up to the perfect temperature before drinking it.
Decanting
This is a method that removes stinky aromas from red wine. (Who wants those in their wines anyway, right?) And some of the best ways to do it are to either pour the wine into a glass pitcher or a decanter & let it sit for about 30 mins, or use a wine aerator for the same. So next time around, remember to decant!
Wine Preservers
